Night Tube Schedule
The Night Tube service in London operates during Friday and Saturday nights. Trains run throughout the night.
- Services run from approximately 00:30 (half past midnight) to 05:30 (half past five in the morning).
The lines and stations that operate at night are:
- Central Line (Ealing Broadway to Loughton).
- Jubilee Line (Stanmore to Stratford).
- Northern (Edgware/High Barnet to Morden)
- Piccadilly (Cockfosters to Heathrow)
- Victoria Line (Brixton to Walthamstow Central).
- London Overground (New Cross Gate to Highbury & Islington).
History of the Night Tube
The London Night Tube was launched on 19 August 2016, starting with the Central and Victoria lines. This service was established by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, with the aim of supporting the nighttime economy and enhancing safety in nighttime travel. Although originally planned to start in 2015, it faced delays due to labor disputes
Interruptions and Resumption of Service
The Night Tube service was suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic in order to redistribute resources towards busier daytime services. After a 20-month break, the service was partially resumed in November 2021, starting with the Central and Victoria lines, and gradually reintegrating the other lines. Full service was resumed in July 2022.

1.- Which lines operate the Night Tube service?
The Night Tube service operates on Friday and Saturday nights on the Central, Jubilee, Northern, Piccadilly, and Victoria lines. Each line has specific frequencies and segments in operation, for example, the Northern line does not operate on the Mill Hill East and Bank branches.
2.- How frequently do the trains run on the Night Tube?
The frequency of the trains varies by line:
- Central Line: every 10 minutes between White City and Leytonstone and every 20 minutes on the sections from Ealing Broadway to White City and from Leytonstone to Loughton/Hainault.
- Northern Line: approximately every 8 minutes between Morden and Camden Town and every 15 minutes from Camden Town to High Barnet/Edgware.
- Piccadilly Line: every 10 minutes between Cockfosters and Heathrow Terminal 5.
- Victoria Line: every 10 minutes on the entire line.
3.- Is there staff available at the stations during the Night Tube?
All stations served by the Night Tube remain open and manned during the overnight service hours. Additionally, there is increased police presence to ensure passenger safety.
4.- How much does it cost to travel on the Night Tube?
Night Tube fares are off-peak, making them more affordable. Day Travelcards are valid until 4:30 a.m. the following day
